King County, Washington has declared a pre-emptive emergency to prepare for expected flooding in the Green River valley. The move will make it easier for the county to request federal help. (Sept. 10)

  • Unfourtunately, I don't think any insurance company will be issuing any new flood policies after this statement.

    They should be emptying that dam, even if they flood a few, they can save many.
