it just obviously exposed that kimball really suspecting Bates as the killer by chase him into the bar and try to fishing luck in so called relaxed moment, thats the fatal flaw.
-
@deividbx I'm not sure about him talking to the detective, but I know for a fact the "HEY! RASTA MAN! I MEAN, MON. WE BE JAMMIN!" part was in the book. I recall dying of laughter over it.

@IAMtheNewWorldOrder Agreed. As opposed to the other interrogation scenes being suspenseful, this one is downright awkward and synthetic. Ugh.

Willem DaFoe freaks me out.

I find this scene very funny in its own right.

@IAMtheNewWorldOrder its from the book...thats why they shot it
-
is he drinking finlandia? straight?

@IAMtheNewWorldOrder I disagree. As a former film student, I understand the importance of covering all your bases by shooting more than you actually need. Whilst this was not a necessary scene, I don't believe that it was "stupid". Perhaps it seemed better in the writer's/director's head at the time, but I see little wrong with it. Also, remember that this is the scene without post-production, which can make a big difference to the feel of a scene as a whole.

I liked the music in the beginning of the scene.

Whenever I see deleted scenes, I almost always see why they were deleted. This no exception. I am really glad they didn't use this. It takes away from the style of the movie, it makes both Bateman and the movie itself seem more simple, and sophomoric. "Oh no, he said he likes to interrogate people in relaxed environments, and he's interrogating Patrick in a relaxed environment!"
yeah, I can't even believe they shot this stupid scene.
