lovely little radio. just picked one up at Sears 12$ mono to stereo ear phone jack adapter from Radio Shack for like 2$ and headphones work fine. Vintage look is a plus. :) This review sold me thanx!

@ds10363 YOU CAN easily get it working on both spekers

I have one of those and its a complete POS! The speaker sounds like its blown though I only use it at less than half volume. I guess I should try some external speakers. Might as well have spent a little more for something that lasts more than 3-4 uses.

@valobou I just ordered this radio. Is it good? Also I read that the earphone jack is Mono, which means it only plays sound in the left earplug. Is that the jack you plugged your speaker into? What is your opinion of this pocket radio? Thanks

If you are looking for cheap, sensitive, relatively selective and portable with reasonable sound from speaker and long live battery than it is Sony. I had compare Sony S10MK with other radios same class like Panasonic RF-P50, and other Chinese junk and Sony is a winner. AM is strong enough to get majority of frequency and FM do not fade when you get away from receiver. For earphone mono plug is available in Department store for $2 or so.

Of course if you want to increase signal for weak AM stations than it is good to buy Grundig AN-200 or Kaito passive loop. If you build loop by yourself, than result will be much more better than retail loop. Check this on Google (am loop antenna).
