Narrated by Derek Jacobi and Joseph Fiennes this is one of the most famous ancient sagas ever told, Beowulf tells the tale of a young Danish warrior called Beowulf who goes to the aid of King Hroðgar and his people, who are attacked by a half-man half-monster named Grendel.

  • @nwojunkie In the story Grendel's appearance is vague, no one knows what he actually looked liked, so we have to use our imagination.

  • i always wondered why Grendel looks like swamp thing.

  • i am of the opinion that grendel was originally meant to be a draugr. i think the whole "descendant of cain" bit was added after the poem became christianized.

  • grendel to me looks like a werewolf / gorilla with huge anime muscles lol

  • this version of grendel scares the hell out of me.

Beowulf applies the finer points of ye olde Trollface.

  • Me and my literature class read this book and constantly made fun of the Watchman because of how gay (literally, i'm not just saying stupid) he acts in the book.
