Lauter-Humana player piano belts out "Hindustan"

The 1910 Lauter-Humana player piano, playing "Hindustan." I restored this piano from a basket case about 25 years ago. I taught myself about piano restoration from several books, especially "Restoring The Player Piano," by Larry Givens. You can't buy parts for a 100 year old piano. I obtained the raw materials from Player Piano Company of Wichita, Kansas to fabricate and restore components.

Ya, I know it could use a tune, but that will have to wait until we get past this sketchy time of Obamanomics.

Thanks for viewing, V-Man! It's nice to share this old instrument on YT. I'm very happy with how the restoration has held up over the years...Along with the original components. As you can see in the vid, I didn't re-cover the pneumatics on the auto-tracker, electing to just clean and re-tube it. It was still holding vacuum, and I knew I could re-cover it without dismantling the player action, so I left it. Now, 99 years after Lauter constructed it, that old fabric is still holding!
