Just a quick improv to show how my new DG Strat Copy sounds --- It's using the CS50s in the neck position in the first part of the song, then when the song changes keys, it goes into the Seymour Duncan SSL-5 in the bridge position -- using the CS2, Tube Driver, and MXR Carbon Copy.

  • the black strat has the maple fretboard

  • @Dante95devil

    Mine has a rosewood xD

  • Well done. When did you get a new strat? Also, is that a backing track? Where did you pull that?

  • @MrFafricano

    Thanks :)

I just finished it after working on it for a couple weeks. It was an Ebay Japanese Strat with a maple/rosewood Fat '62 neck on it that already came with CS50s, so I put a SSL-5 in the bridge and bought a black pickguard for it.

All of my backing tracks are from gilmourishdotcom

  • @MGKraest Nice playing, but do you realise your SSL-5 Pickup Cover is on the wrong way around?

    :)

  • @fredericiscool

Hahahaha I wondered about that after I put it on

That is an inaccurate statement. The Black Strat has had a variety of necks and fretboards (I can remember five, but I might be wrong.) It has even had a Rosewood Fretboard during the Animals Tour of 1977.

  • @MGKraest what a pity

  • Actually, as soon as I posted that comment I went directly there and found it. :)

I'll be posting my Floyd cover videos soon, so be on the lookout!

    Guitar looks sweet. Congrats!

  • at 0:31 it changes the feel of the song
