In this video I provide and overview of Spanish Oral Proficiency Assessments such as the ACTFL OPI. I review the objectives and structures of these exams and I also provide suggestions for review topics and strategies to increase your success. This is the first in a series on asking and answering questions in Spanish. Although I focus more on the oral exam format in this video, its content and that of the entire series applies to all kinds of conversations in Spanish.

  • could i ask more? I can learn spanish and english at the same time with you! That's cool! :)

  • @2syrianhearts Spanish, maybe, but your English is already great!

  • You've been around spanish speaking people alot, right? Well, the english language has alot of slang, and sometimes when I'm speaking spanish I use slang to shorten words. For example, I tend to say "graci" instead of "gracias" and i just wondered, would spanish people understand that i mean gracias?

  • @ImaZombeh, sure!

  • Thank you so much for these videos! I'm half Hispanic and sadly, I'm not fluent in Spanish. Ever since I entered high school, I've been studying Spanish. Sadly, the Spanish classes they provide in school aren't that helpful. Although I do learn SOME things, the teaching methods don't seem to work on us students. I am so glad that I stumbled upon your videos, because I can study Spanish in my free time with a teacher who goes into great detail and cares about his students.

    Thanks

    -Bianca

  • I'm incredibly interested in this series!! i'm not taking a class, but I'm doing my best to learn spanish on my own and your channel has been a tremendous help. I do have a question. Areyou, or can you in a seperate video, discuss in detail about complex sentences? I'm trying to learn how to experss more advance ideas, but a lot of the work books I'm using are basic and I'm concerned about perfecting my grammer. Thank you for all of your help. :D
