Similarities between the Hebrew and Mayan Stories of the Creation - An In Depth Look into the Popul Vuh. This video aims to shed light on the age old question... how was the world created? The Hebrews have taught the story of Creation in the book of Genesis. Remarkable similarities exist between the two ancient civilizations. For members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, this Mayan story of Creation helps to validate their claim that the same story of Creation was taught and existed among the Mayan culture between the years 600 B.C. to 400 A.D. and quite possibly was a great influence upon the culture. The Nephites brought with them the "Plates of Brass" which included the 5 books of Moses and upon that record, we learn the Judeo-Christian story of Creation. This and many other things help to validate the Book of Mormon as an authentic record showing such evidences that this story of creation was held by the Mayan several centuries before Columbus and Cortez (apart from what they originally thought) and that this story was taught and well known centuries before the arrival of Spanish Conquistadors.

  • this is from zecharia sitchin... in the story of creation, in the first book in the ancient hebrew texts, in the first sentence, the letter (a) was changed for the second letter (b), meaning, "in the beginning elohim created the heaven and earth".

how could it be, that the story of creation starts with the (b). if we take the letter (a) instead, it becommes not (b)-rashid but (a)-rashid, meaning... "the father of beginning created elohim, the heaven and earth". that would be a big difference.
