2:36 yeah... but back then population density wasn't so high, and there's more animals than people around. Avid surplus rifle shooter here, they are too powerful for normal use, unless you are in the midwest with a mountain as a backstop. At max, I'd use a carbine over my M48 yugo as a primary defence
