Targeted by the Tea Party: Parkinson's Hero Speaks

Bob, the man with Parkinson's who was targeted by the Tea Partiers, sat down with ProgressOhio for an interview. He is 60 years old and was first diagnosed with Parkinsons 15 years ago. He has two masters degrees and a Ph.D. from Cornell. He taught at the University of Michigan and worked as a nuclear engineer.

Bob was able to have a $150,000 surgery that greatly increased his quality of life, thanks to Medicare and the Cleveland Clinic. He attended the event in Columbus because he believes in giving back and thinks everyone should have access to affordable health insurance and quality health care.

What those Teabags did to Bob is sickening. If they only knew what it's like to live in his shoes, they wouldn't dare say those things. I've suffered with severe nerve & muscle pain for nearly 15 years. None of us who have these problems ASKED for it, in fact I'm betting the majority of us who have diseases like Parkinson's, have them because of TOXIC crap that companies have been dumping into our water & air.

The Tea Party people have cheered executions, booed a soldier in Iraq, said a man in a coma without insurance should die, and this isn't the first person with serious medical issues that they've yelled & made fun of in the vicious history of vacuous minds. These people a selfish, seething, useless spawn of Ayn Rand Objectivism theory. They are nothing like, nor doing anything like, what Occupy is doing.Occupy doesn't ridicule or ignore the sick, old, young, poor, homeless and desperate.
