@ios254 Yeah. It appears YT is being buggy in its commentary field, ughh. Anyways, my advice is; learn norwegian first. Learning norwegian will make swedish, danish and icelandic easy. Alot of the icelandic words have somewhat the same spelling as the norwegian equivalent. Danish pronunciation is weird and awkward, norwegians and swedes have this thing about making fun of the danes for speaking like they have a hot potato stuck in their throat. Just learn bokmål/riksmål and I will be happy : D

@ObLiViOnZThEkIllEr I just may take you up on that ;) I have a little German in me and I think the Germanic is wanting to come out ;) but I am more attracted to the pitch accent of the Norwegian language, vs the lack of in Danish but I find the Insular Germanic languages to be highly interesting, as they are more related to old Norse and old English. I began with learning Danish but I feel that may be the wrong foot, as you really don't get to hear every word, it is very contracted.

@ynfuan Oh, so there'd be more "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR's " in Norwegian?

Ha, that must be funny! Years ago a man who worked with my father on the fire dept and I were talking and I asked if he was of Swedish descent as his last name was "Larsen" and he took umbrage at that telling me, "Hell no, it's "S-E-N" not "S-O-N!"
He said; "we were the boss of all those Vikings over there the Danes!"
Funny, my grandmother came to the U.S. from Donegal, Ireland and she had bad stories of the Vikings passed down to her from her parents!

@rafalbielec Rofl... No. "er du" and "ar du" is different. The norwegian alphabet is different from that of english. Again, no, we could not. "Hvor gammel er du." We pronounce it as we write it. Alot of people (even natives) will say we dont pronounce the H in Hvor, but we do infact. If you dont know norwegian you wont hear that we speak as we write (for the most part.)
FUS RO DAH!
