Temptation

I message dealing with the subject of temptation. God can give you victory over sin. But you need to ask Him for strength to overcome it, and make a sincere effort to avoid doing things that are contrary to His will.

Good topic, and one that we Christians talk too little about.

Interesting, your identifying the problem as lack of trust. I never thought of that, but that's definitely true. From my own observation, it's also to do with a lack of JOY. If you're entirely happy in God, temptation no longer has any power over you. When tempted, rejoice in God. And for sure, the basis of that rejoicing is TRUST.

@GlobalBurden Indeed, this is a subject that isn't emphasized as much as it should be. And that's one of the reasons why people continue to struggle in areas where they should be walking in victory. Messages of repentance are rare these days. People think they can live as they please, and expect God to be pleased with them while they live in opposition to His commands. Thus, they deny the faith by refusing to acknowledge His power to deliver them from their sins. God bless you.

May I say, the real victories over the long term sins I have struggled with in my life came only when I literally got down on my knees in prayer & earnestly did business with God. He WILL deliver us from ALL sins, if we're serious with Him. Thanks for this message...
