Social Presence Theory Experiment

I used this short video as part of my presentation for my senior thesis, entitled "Rethinking Community and Communication on the Internet: Looking Through the Lens of YouTube".

Social Presence Theory suggests that different media used in communicating each have different quality levels. Face to face communication has the highest social presence, while various forms of computer moderated communication have significantly less. I argue that video has become the new standard in internet communication, largely for the level of social presence it enables.
