  • If most Americans were Budhists, I think racism, repression, anxiety, and warmongering would not be so rampant in America. I am a Christian by the way.

  • I am so happy that Buddhism continue to spread all over the states.

  • @letsomethingshine When you said that Western Enlightenment is better, it sounds as if you are trying to imply that Western culture is better than the rest isn't it? Or am I just overexagurating?

  • @sheltv100

So how does that have anything to do with what I wrote?

  • @letsomethingshine I am a Canadian by the way. I also do not follow Western Cultureal Propaganda anymore.

  • @sheltv100

You should look at examples like Sri Lanka, Burma, and Tibet... once a country because 'their' version of enlightened, the country fails... the Western version of Enlightenment is always much better. Get deep education in philosophy and ethics and theology, and history etc. You don't have to be a Scientist to get a good education or understanding of those arts.

If most Americans were properly Educated...

  • @gethsoftware Well if Buddhists don't believe that Jesus is Lord, then I have no problem with that. At least you will never see me throw stones at Buddhists or any non-Christian, like these stupid Christian bigots in Bible-belt USA. I got my beliefs and you got yours and if we both respect them, all is well. That way, we can share the moralities that we have in common. For instance, abortion, that goes against the beleifs of both Christians and Buddhists.

  • @sheltv100 singh. buddhists dont belive jesus is the lord. and what do you do if jesus does not exist and the buddha is the lord? hmm? buddhist dont belive that jesus even exist, or if he does, then he was not god but just human being. you see. you cant be all right. but you culd be all be wrong. in buddhism, there is no jesus. allso, how do you not know if jesus will bow to buddha in the end and say "The Buddha is the lord"? In the end, one of you is wrong or both are wrong. i say, both.

  • @rls0263 That's right. But I have heard that Buddhists could very likely be convinced about the second coming of Jesus. It is taught and written that if Jesus appears in the end, they will do what the Bible said, every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And you are right, no hellfire and brimstone because hell and brimstone is not for us humans. Don't even think about hell, just think about peace, and benelovance, and love to people and you'll be rewarded.

  • @Bnest22 That's right.
