brain tumors cause very irrational behavior in all creatures, humans included. And even still, his foot slipped. The grass is wet. And his ears were not flattened in anger. This had nothing to do with being "whipped" for ages. Most racehorses don't even race long enough to get sick of it anyways. Many retire as nice riding ponies within their first year of racing.

Jesus! that horse is just too unpredictable to be safe to ride..it would have been irresponisble if the race yard had sold him on full stop...even as a non ridden companion! He could of easily ended up being sold on to an unsuspecting buyer (through an auction perhaps) and end up attemped to be ridden only to kill someone. Sorry guys but the race yard acted like the responsible party to have him destroyed if his behaviour was so unpredicatable. Sad though it is.

well he didnt have to check i fthe horse was ok the horse got up n strted walking hes ok n the jockey didnt just walk off he walked away a lil so he was out of the road.hte racing vets r there to check the horse is ok the jockeys r there to ride

Regardless of why he did it, this horse had enough of "being whipped around a racetrack" and fought back the only way it knew how. I bet it was mild as a lamb when not being abused...even with a brain tumor. And yes, I wish the jockey had been badly injured or killed. It is time that the world put a stop to the cruel practices used in horse racing. These horses have to be given a drug to stop them from bleeding to death. The blood is from their lungs. Notice how red their nostrils get.

and secondly, when you look just before he rears, his ears aren't flattened or anything, if the horse spooked it would have put it's ears back
