lack of gun control in the united states is the reason japan didn't invade? Really?
I have a loaded shotgun sitting next to me, I'm not pro gun control, but that's quite a stretch.
Japan didn't have the navy or even the manpower for a full scale mainland invasion.
Don't get me wrong I'm sure they could have knocked over quite a few sandcastles but I don't think they were worried about civilian gun ownership more then our military. I'd have to see a reputable source to believe otherwise.

@bigkone2001 And I'm ALL FOR the right to bear arms but that's just about the stupidest shit I've ever heard. A full out invasion of mainland US by Japan ala' D-Day... With no land based air support... Would have been the biggest slaughter in history. Regardless of civilian gun ownership in the United States.
Look how tore up the Allies got on D-Day just going across the English Channel... with near total air superiority.

@bigkone2001 Hahahah, I get so tired of people spouting this crap. Lack of gun control had NOTHING to do with Japans not invading. Try IMPOSSIBLE logistics. Pulling off a surprise aerial attack on an Isolated territory like Hawaii, or sinking ships off the US coast is one thing.... But to try an all out large scale invasion?? From where would they launch this!? It took FOUR BLOODY YEARS to island hop from Hawaii to Japan. There is NOTHING between Hawaii and the West Coast but open ocean.

@jurbinsky77 exactly... i bet gun ownership in canada and the united states was 100000th reason down the list of why japan should not invade north america

@bigkone2001 ahahahaha that is some funny shit you just stated right there... the number of private firearms in the united states exploded in the mid 60s, around the same time black people were given their rights... before then, america was not the gun tote'n moron society it is today... and only small % of the population owned firearms... japan gave no shit about a front on north america, they aspired to take over south east asia and only attacked the US navy to prevent it from stopping them

@bigkone2001 ha-ha-ha..In the same token, Japan did not invade Canada because Canadians didn't ususally stash guns..

@ELITEHAMSTER123 However, making home made bombs would be what most resistance members would do because guerrilla tactics have effects on morale and on their superior hardware without having to make head on assaults.
Coming to think of it, in case of invasion any country is able to defend itself, guns wouldn't win a war by themselves.
I am amazed at how many people here don't realize that they make .22LR conversion kits for glocks (and some other types) for cheap target practice with your primary sidearm.
.22LR is tiny compared to 9mm/40S&W/45, with much less noise & recoil. But 22LR fires a gunpowder driven bullet not an 'airsoft' gun. the recoil, noise, smoke, etc. are all consistent with a .22LR pistol. casings don't show up if the video camera doesn't have good frame rate.
And of course he SAYS it's a 22LR in french...

@madman2u: Lack of gun control in the United States is the primary reason Japan did not invade. Can't say the same about your country. Second Amendment is a fundamental right to Americans and when guns are in the hands of law-abiding citizens it can be a beautiful thing
