Settlers of Catan Stop Motion

Playing the grand daddy of all settlers games, this game was a combination of Settlers, Seafarers, and Cities and Knights played on the map Greater Catan in the Seafarers 5-6 player expansion. The game was played to 21 points with 8 cities per player, so you can imagine that it was a rather long game.

hey trumpet210 how good is that game, rate it form 1 to 10?

I'd give it an 8.5; It is a lot of fun, but the luck element is a bit larger than I would like it to be since there are dice. You could be a master at the game and still lose many times because your numbers don't get rolled!

Where do you get those EDGE-PIECES that create a rectangular board?

We have the original copy of the Seafarers expansion that has these pieces. I'm not sure if the newer versions have them.

dude, sometimes with the basic catan no expansion just 10 points to win it takes us an hour with 4 people!

Cities... Just sayin'. Great idea on the video, pretty bad quality, agree that some epic music would jazz it up. I liked it though. And I "liked" it.

IT's a good idea but the lighting is bad and you can't really see what's going on :( A more top-down shot would have less distraction in it and some music would be nice :P can't wait to see the next one ;)

@trumpet210 You should try it with the event cards rather than dice. Far less random and makes the game a bit more strategy based than luck based (though there is always a bit of luck in any game).
