One SINGER's note about his PARTNER in this Duet: "It was a balmy California evening, following the Song Program I had just given in a Hotel across from Sony Studios in Culver City, exactly 5-years ago this January 2012. That Hotel's parking lot was quiet ~ except for several scruffy-looking cats roaming for food ~ so changing out my Tux in the car seemed a modest choice. There was not quite enough room for long legs however, so I opened the Camry's front door one foot. And there appeared the tiny face of an orange kitten ~ whose whole body was about the size of one open hand ~ gazing up at me through the Toyota's door. So I hung up the suit and inquired at the Hotel's reception desk: 'What's up with those wild cats in your parking lot?
What a nuisance,' they said, 'We're waiting for the city to pick them up and put them in the suction machine.' Sure enough, my little guy was waiting under a neighboring parked car, came trotting over for a sip of water, I scooped him up and called Irmgard: 'What will it be, a kitten or a suction machine?' Now a a very large orange cat ~ named after the celebrated Fauvist painter Maurice de Vlaminck's favorite color, he has joined me in a jazzy Duet, let's call it a Anniversary Celebration, Ladies & Gentlemen ~ Enjoy!
