I am here to fight back against Vote Bot attacks.
FAQ.
Q. What are Vote Bots?
A. A Vote Bot is a program made to automatically vote a video 1-star rating, and or flag a video.
Q. How damaging is this to a user that's hit by a Vote Bot attack?
A. It depends on how popular a user has become. Users with more than a 1000 subscribers will have their videos rating lowered, but they have enough of a fan base to overcome the effects and life goes on. But if a person has less than 100 subscribers that actively view their videos, they will be ruined and never be noticed.
Q.. How does having a bunch of 1 star videos keep a user from being noticed?
A. When you have a lot of lot rated videos your channel is put on the back burner. When someone types in a search for a topic the video with the most views and 5 star ratings comes up first and the video with the lowest views and the lowest ratings comes in on page 10 or more. This means that the user's video may never been seen again.
Q. How can we help?
A. Make videos about Vote Bots so that we can get "YouTube's" attention. Rate any video hit by a Vote Bot 5 Stars and favorite that video. Come back later and 5 Star rate it again. The more you do this the better.
Also post links to users that have been hit by Vote Bot attacks so that I may 5 Stare rate them.
