Throughout the series the only words Donnie ever said (that I remember) was "oh be quiet." He should have been able to say more as the series went on, he isn't mindless. He clearly knows what's going on, and wants to tell Nigel that Eliza needs help.

the time you noticed Eliza's appendicitis 1st 4:45 when she says ow at the table 2nd 5:11 when she is walking with Darwin and says ow 3rd 5:39 when after Darwin eats the corn dog and she says SSS 4th 7:41 when Eliza says no to swimming because her stomach hurts 5th when she saves Donnie she says ow twice 6th 8:56 when she is climbing on the rock and shouts OW 9:20 is when it gets worse

I was having symptoms of appendicitis at my fiance's Halloween party and had it removed on November 2. It was all a blur. All I remember was blacking in and out to my fiance, who NEVER left my side, and the doctors, who told me that my appendix was THAT CLOSE to rupturing. Today, I cringe at this episode because I now know what Eliza went through.
