to be honest, this is good food but you only need it if your dog is a working dog i think. Its too high in protein, far too high for a pet dog, they say dogs need a wild diet, utter crap because dogs have evolved to become domestic u fools. honest my pitbull liked this but had bad side effects. its overpriced and if u live in the uk then i do not recommend this. why do u think its mainly found in usa and canada? think about it uk people...coz their dogs are outside practically all the time.

@TheSpencerh82 If the bad side effect is loose stool then you were feeding too much for your dog's lifestyle. It extremely nutrient dense and cannot be fed like other foods packed with empty fillers. The rule for for feeding is if they are gassy or have loose stool they are getting too much. The feeding guidelines are a starting point and are often based on dogs much more active than the average.

I love these diets, especially that the ingrediets are so finely grown! My dogs both eat this diet, and it is actually cheaper then TOTW. And as for the protien levels, I have never found a problem with them, they are within the range for the diets they are put into (high for puppies, medium for adult dogs, ect) People get so caught up in crappy corn based diets that no one seems to really understand what is good for your dog

@TheSpencerh82 I get my senior basset hound the Acana senior diet and I love it, we have seen a huge impovment in her heart health since feeding her this and she has really picked up! My underweight StBernard, who is usually really picky, also loves the diets. And no, my dog is not outside practically all the time. These diets are built to provide quality ingrediets that your dog can actually digest and use, no crappy corn and fill.

People bashing high protein have lost their mind and know nothing about diet, biology or nutrition. And if you buy in to myth that high protein foods are not good than by Acana, same company as Orijen, just lower protein, if you believe in that.

The Spencerh82 you are full of crap..My dogs are on a pure raw diet and THRIVE on it.(I live in canada and own pugs,they are NOT outside all the time).I fed Orijen for 3 years and LOVE it.As far as dog foods go i would WAY rather support a local company than a company that gets their product from china or god knows where.Dog food(Crapple) has been around about 100years, dogs have been around WAY longer. They were meant to eat a raw carnivore species appropriate diet, NOT dehydrated crap kibble.

i hate when people can't afford something and cause of this they try to underestimate products.Me i am not rich at all i have only 1 dog and i prefer i go out 3-4 times less for a drink and give my dog the best food available..so simple.

@TheSpencerh82 the first bag of dog food went into the market about 100 years ago. Do you actually believe that a dog's stomach has evolved that much in 100 years? Thats going from eating the same thing for millions of years and then eating corn and by products? You damn fool.
