diesels arent supposed to be driven like petrol cars, the most power and torque is between 3 en 4 thousand rpm's, so redlining it like youre doing is probably only going to fukk up your engine

Also für 184PS geht der richtig gut!! Bloß Diesel und solche Drehzahlen passen nicht zusammen!!

Is sogesehn blöd, der hat sein maximales Drehmoment von 1500-3500 U/min, wenn du so hoch drehst??? was soll das? is erstens scheiße für den verbrauch, 2. scheiße für den Motor und 3. scheiße für die Beschleunigung, schalt vom 1.bis uim 6. bei 3500 U/min und den 6. dann erst ausfahren, alles andere is Quatsch...

Believe me we pay enough for fuel in Germany, but I have a well payed job so it doesn't matter :) I like the torque of tuned diesel.. and the tire dealer next door is my best friend :D every season new tires on the rear wheels.. my girlfriend is driving a new e90 330i with 265hp but she has no chance versus my torque :D

@900erturbo Maybe you live in a country where fuel doesn't cost you that much or you earn enough so you don't even bother the aforemontioned consumption. Diesel is economical when it takes around 6l, so 10l should not even be taken into consideration. Since my car (Passat B5.5, 1,8t 150HP@190) takes around 9-11l, 10,5l on average, but LPG, I can call it an economical car (0,6Euro/l). However, your car has a lot better torque, of which I'm envious :)

The torque of that engine is NUCLEAR.

@coos88 not really most diesel's max power is 2000rpm or lower a 330d can be rev'd to 5000rpm without any problem

My 330d is complete moded, new turbo and intercooler, including complete setup on dyno. Result round about 270hp. Stock it has 184. I'm driving this setup now for 4years and 130tkm.. no problems :) I love my diesel :)
