@lakebay972 not only was gas only 24 cents......they cleaned your front and rear windshield, checked your oil, gave you free maps, toys and promotional stuff. I have fond memories of stopping at gas stations on the road trips my family took in the early 60s. Getting a huge glass bottled soft drink from their machines was a big deal

NO drive byes back then. We used our fists. You could buy a gun out of a magazine back then, So the availability of weapons now more than then is BS. We have more gun laws and more killings in Ca. Whats up.

@inkey2 24 cents was a decent amount of money though. I think 1 dollar gallon during early clinton was even cheaper.
