The so-called "gutting" of Bill C-15 by Liberal Senators 12/03/09

Bill C-15 being amended (clause 3) during the Dec. 3, 2009 Senate Committee meeting.

*** This video contains evidence that debunks the Conservative claim that Liberal Senators "gutted" Bill C-15. In fact, both Conservative Senators who had questions about the amendment (Sen. Carignan and Sen. Wallace) interpreted it as making the bill "tougher"! ***

Not exactly the reaction you'd expect over an amendment that supposedly "gutted" the bill.

The "gutted" legislation would still impose a mandatory 9 month prison sentence on someone caught growing ONE cannabis plant in a rental property, if there was intent to sell, trade or give any of it to another person.

The Conservatives claim that Bill C-15 is intended to target organized crime but just opposite is true. The experts warn that this legislation will disproportionately target minorities, low-level offenders, unlicensed medicinal growers and young people.

@OshawaCannabisDay Bill C-15 died because of the prorogue but the Conservatives plan to bring it back in the Senate soon after parliament returns in March.

The next incarnation of this bill will have a new name but will be identical to the previous version. (1-200 plants, for the purpose of trafficking = 6 month mandatory prison sentence.)

(FYI: this will be the 3rd time this bill has been tabled. The first time it was named Bill C-26)

I already have it, so why can't every Canadian have access to Medical MJ same as T3s!

A simple DIN# by a stroke of a pen and it can be made avalible at every drugstore!!

Then it could be "Legally" made in to butters and oils and people would not need smoke, vaporize or need eat sticks and twigs!!"

But since I am passionate about the Legal use on Medical MJ I will respond however fruitless it may be?

First I am a Licensed MJ users who is not following an Monarchy to jail, and I want all Canadians to have Legal access to a Life saving Medication!
