This video was made to facilitate the learning of the Adapted Swedish-Amma Chair Massage Sequence taught at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Massage 101, http://101s.csu.qc.ca/ ,was taught over 6 weeks, 1x/week, 2 hours/session from October 3rd to November 7th, 2008. Students learned the basics of massage theory, eastern & western methodologies, history, and anatomy. Students learned an Adapted Swedish-Amma Chair Massage Sequence including the back, arm, hand, neck, and shoulder. Our objective was to spark interest in the healing arts & to help students be more discerning when "shopping" for complementary health therapies and therapists.
