www.ProGuitarShop.com-If the recent MXR Phase 90 just doesn't do it for you, check out the MXR CSP-026. The '74 Vintage Phase 90 is a re-creation of the original pedal made famous by immortal bands such as Van Halen. The 74 Vintage Phase 90 accurately represents the thick, warm phase that we all grew up loving and searching after. The CSP026 features select resistors coupled with hand-matched FET's on a handwired board. This exclusive selection of components gives the Script Phase 90 the same smooth phase and big modulation that made the original a classic.

The MXR '74 Vintage Phase 90 looks just like the original, right down to the script logo. Housed in the same compact MXR metal box, it is difficult to tell them apart visually as well as tonally. The MXR CSP026 sounds so close to the original, you'd need a Pepsi Challenge to really find out if there is a difference at all. The thick, swirling phase of the 74 Vintage Phase 90 brings back Eddie in all his glory. It has the headroom of the original as well as the reduced midrange swell. The Vintage Phase 90 definitely lives up to it's title. MXR made the original, and they know how to re-make it with the CSP-026 '74 Vintage Phase 90.

  • Why would they make a pedal you cant connect to a power supply? Deal buster for me. And I was just about to drop the cash.

  • @Robdust - This is an exact vintage recreation. The original had no external power connectivity. Fortunately MXR makes several other versions of this pedal with LED's and external power options, all conveniently available on our website. Thanks!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Yes they do make the other versions, but at the expense of the tone. The block logo one isn't very good even though it has the LED and power supply options. So it's a trade off, either tone and batteries or newer features without the tone...

  • @bresan79 - The MXR CSP-101SL Custom Shop Script Logo is the same circuit as the one in this video, but with an LED and battery power. So there ya go! Thanks for watching.

  • This IS the best sounding Phase 90 regardless of no power jack. I think you can get a power plate for it?

  • @RedBarchetta47 yeah! I noticed that too.

  • Is there a difference between this and the MXR Phase 90 CSP-101CL in terms of how they sound?

  • 2112!!

  • I know tone is mostly in the hands, but just out of curiosity, which would you suggest for Funk? The Phase 45 or the Phase 90?

  • if you had to choose one. Would it be vintage phase 90 or original electro harmonix small stone?

  • 1:46 That 70s show

  • Classic pedal with a great heritage behind it. Recently tested one of these beauties out at my local music store Fox UK and go blown away by how awesome it is, how many different phase tones you can switch between, its sensitive but not overly sensitive. The shop offered me a top deal so I do recommend buying from here!

  • This is my favourite modulation pedal, I love it!

  • Sweet Jane!!!!!!!!!
