No but the doll isn't white is it.
Anyway Carol only said the persons hair style looked like a gollywogs she didn't call the person and gollywog which would have been a racial slur.
-
Of course it's a racial slur. Would she have used it to describe a white person?
-
It's only a racial slur if you intend to offend a black person. Clearly carol didn't mean it that way.

Carol Thatcher is a sorry person. I just look at her and think to myself: "What are you. WHAT ARE YOU CAROL". Rich's hair looks great by now.

I agree - it appears that Carol Thatcher is defiant in her use of a racial slur and has no intention of apologising, or admitting she was wrong. Richard Herring is a hero for trying to make her see reason - but agreed; it should have been Matthew Wright that led that discussion.
So Carol Thatcher is never going to actually be asked if she thinks what she says is a good thing? She just keeps saying, 'People are too easily offended!' But will she say it again? Has she got any more 'amusing' descriptions up her sleeve? Is she ever going to apologise or regret?

From what I see, Carol Thatcher see's herself as a victim when she made a comment most people would find offensive.
She's irrational, and clearly lacks any emotional intelligence. I'm also disappointed in Matthew Wright for not taking her to task over her comment, because broadcast or not what she said was in a place of work.
