We used the Loch Ness variety of blackberries in our autumn smoothie, some grown in Norfolk and others grown by a man called Craig at his family farm in Essex. If you were disappointed by the lack of opportunities to wear Speedos and eat choc-ices this summer, spare a thought for the humble blackberry, who is particularly sensitive to the weather. Luckily, despite the strange summer, Craig managed to grow enough of the juicy berries to make sure this local recipe was complete.
I would like to work on your farm for honey and blackberries!!

I used to pick blackberries in eastern florida when i was a child. I grew up eating oranges and blackberries. I miss those days of innocence and purity. Funny how the little things in life are so important as you become older. I cant grow them here in central florida for some reason. They cost so much at the store. Thank you for posting.

How many acres do you have planted in blackberries? I've been debating on starting a small bramble farm, do you have any advice?
