purchased a new 2011 barnett Pedator crossbow for target shooting...I noticed the weaver rail was aiming off to the left so i loosened screws and lined it up and retighted..after about 4 shots the entire assembly which the scope was mounted to shifted back to the left..at 33 yards this equals approx 12 inches over to one side where the bolt strikes... Basically i am happy with everything else about this crossbow, but totally discusted with this problem...I see it as a manger flaw in design or workmanship that needs to be fixed asap

  • I shot it over 40 times today from 7,15,25 and 34 yards from sitting position...the shims seem to be doing a good job keeping the assembly centered and stable...Groups are good now...I will need to setup a shooting table or something to keep bow completely steady to know if everything is just right, but for now i am happy with its consistancy...the power is fantastic

  • Up date on this ..I removed the assembly and added some epoxy to the inside of the stock where assembly was shifting..after expoxy dried i reassembled..still shifted.took appart again and added tin shims untill it was much tighter and seems to be on straight..fired it several times and seems to be staying centered..I will test more tommorrow, but i think its much better and should keep zero now.I also noticed my barnett jackal assembely moves by pushing but seems more solid then pedator setup.

  • I got my predator last november it has the same issue. Insted of fighting Barnet again, about my Predator, I bought a Parker Concorde over E-bay for a little more than half the price of Bass Pro Shop. The Predator has Issues that Barnet won't get back to me on... One is the cheek piece being to short the other is the string serving, and now the scope mounting. Also I did order a string from them a month almost ago and just now are they shipping it from what the lady told me on the phone today..
