  • really amazing show Tarpon! Loved every minute of it! You stood out once again, as it seems no one else is really in your league! Mr Ford and crew have lead you to the top again and you all are truly some talented people! You should all be proud of the long hours you have put in and it was well worth it!

  • I'll admit, pretty B.A. But still, compared to the degree of musicianship of countless bands that Tarpon faces each year, it would be fair if Tarpon actually played their instruments the majority of their show. And not just play at the big moments and let the baby drumline, pit, and laptop do the rest. i'll say it again, really good/ but where would y'all be w/o a laptop and props?

Also, hats off to the guard- do they do WGI?

  • I think I just had about 30 orgasms watching this.

  • Great show! I got to see the encore (cause i had to perform at finals) but I absolutely loved the brass feature at the end! Although, me being on the drumline, I kinda wanna seeTarpon next year with a full battery ensemble, like, tenors and basses and everything.

  • But for the compliments, Tarpon sure can perform. Some of the best performers in BOA and the design team does such a great job at using their numbers to full capacity. Even the drill forms make sense...like the arrows etc. pointing out what needs to be looked at. Oh, and the guard is both monstrous and amazing keep it up. Hopefully we see a full drumline sometime soon.

  • The amount of marching and playing is minimal. When they do play they will have some amazing runs or loud trombone chorus but they are not moving. They are great at putting on a show but in my opinion what they are doing is a loophole in the system. There needs to be more reward for achievement.

  • Alright I don't want to rant on Tarpon but here are my thoughts on them. So first off, they are a music conservatory. Every kid gets free lessons? Okay that's a bonus. They can get these elaborate props to distract from the difficulty of the show? Okay that's a bonus. They can stand still got most musical impacts? Bonus. Not that the show is some easy cake walk, but let's get real here.

  • i think y'all are amazing, especially since y'all are such a small band. we have a pretty small band for our division (like 150 compared to every else's 250) and our band director showed us a video of y'all's "paranormal" show to show us how small bands could be good...inspirational

  • I always liked Tarpon Springs because of their unique and mysterious shows combined with their musical talent

  • props are a crutch

  • this show is written by frank sullivan who is specially writing a show for my high school next year. and we got avon's drill writer to right for us

  • Freakin amazing...I still like their show last year better though.Tarpin Springs is amazing,my best wishes (as in me wanting to be them) and good luck to them :)
