Listen to the end, everyone. Forget the failure. Let's go. Let's just do it. Let's make cuts in 2010 anyway, because the social and political will is actually there already. Forget talks, targets or the ongoing COP process. Let's just do it.
The carbon habit is a bad one, and China might well find that feeding it is going to encumber them in the medium term more than it helps them in the short term anyway. Forget China: let's get to work.

Hi, did you know that an alternative to the vacuum cleaner using
Air Recycling Technology can make a 250 Watt cleaner work more efficiently than a 1,400 watt vacuum cleaner; saving 75% of electricity used with no reduction in the cleaning performance.
An annual saving In the UK of 1.5 Terawatt of electricity. About £225,000,000 worth of electricity at 15p a unit and 650,000 Tonnes of CO2, Unfortunately neither the cleaner manufacturers or the Government are interested.

Climate models seem to predict that when the ocean temperature increases, less radiation leaves the earth to space, which leads to additional warming—a positive feedback.
Actual observations seem to show that warmer oceans results in more radiation lost to space, which acts to reverse the warming—in other words, a negative feedback. The data presented by Lindzen and Choi are convincing to me.
Oh! And here in Florida we still have a cold winter even though it it march 6th no!
