@feanfanaat voodoo people by The Prodigy from the album Music for the jilted generation :) great song.

Ted is a drumming icon!!! I've always loved his drumming because it's so original! Yeah, sure, there's some kids out there who are better, but Ted's been playing since they were in diapers, and he along with others his age paved the way for the next generation of drummers. You've gotta remember though, when Tourniquet came out in 1990 they were revolutionary. They took a genre of metal that could grow exceedingly dull very quickly. Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart were the only other metal drummers.

Ted rocks! the best drummer I've ever heard.

I agree somewhat! He is somewhat overrated.... A lot of his solos are the same but...... The music he writes and plays in Tourniquet is so brilliant that it trumps whatever flaws he may have as a live drummer or whatever. Plus, he is a guitar playing BEAST!!! W.M.A.D.D. was basically a Ted Kirkpatrick solo album since he did most of the work on it! LOL!

What hardstyle-song is it around 3:30?

i look at it this way, if ted is using his talent in the way god wants him too, then hes a great drummer, we all have the blood of a champion in us, each person has thier own talent, and lars i dont think gives god the credit for his talent, so who do u think would win, ted who im sure gives god the credit or lars who might but maybe not fully.

Thanks for your comments! I don't give much credence to being voted favorite drummer by HM b/c he is probably the only "Drummer Icon" in Christian rock music, and rock musicians are almost always the ones that win those kinds of awards. Your other point, about being featured in Modern Drummer, well, he must be good to some degree then! I sure have never been featured in that mag, and I've played drums for 24 years now! He's not a bad drummer, just over-rated IMHO. :-)

I godda say, I just don't get it. He is in his late 40's or 50's and there are kids in there early 20's that are light years beyond this. Do Christians just get excited because they only have him as a drummer that they can say "Look! He's a great drummer AND he's a Christian!" If you're going to evaluate his playing, we should evaluate him on his playing only.
Compare this to someone like Tony Royster Jr. who is in his early 20's - what do you think? Search VRhCenWgDo in the YouTube search bar

@Talldude1980 That would totally suck because if somebody put it on youtube, Lars would sue them. I am not one of these guys that thinks Ted is best ever but he would certainly PWN Lars.

@Talldude1980 Lars isn't that good... would be no contest there :)
Ted's the man!!!
