Here's a song about Miss Kim Darby... Many have thought it was about the Duke, or that guy he played, "Rooster Cogburn." But if you listen to the words carefully, you will see, it's about a sweet little girl :-) The name of the song is TRUE GRIT.

Had a crush on Kim when she did TG... I was all but 14 yrs old. She was a great actress and I sure hope she realizes how many people appreciated her then and even now. Duke would never have gotten the award had it not been for Kim. The chemistry was good with her.

Wow! Haven't seen Kim Darby in years! Still a very attractive lady....she was so very very good in her movie & TV roles. Sad that her career seem to lose it's momentum...but perhaps that was her choice. Johhny Crawford certainly grew up to be a handsome fella...talented actor, musician & singer. And always nice to see Jimmy Caan....wish Kim had chance to say more. THANKS for sharing this delightful footage! :)

Darby handled herself well, considering both she and "The Duke" did not care

for each other. He wanted his daughter, then Karen Carpenter (!) for the role.

Darby was gracious to come for this award and speak well of the movie.
