  • Very interesting except that I would love to see the pincushions when completed.They sounded so cute. I thought it was about the felting project and it was really about dyeing. How does one make a felted insect pincushion?

  • the citrus flavors of kool aid have citric acid in it and that acts as a mordent. If it doesn't have citric acid, you can add some vinegar.

  • now when you finally make a finished product after roving and you want to wash it...will the colors bleed out of it?

    it's hard to get a fleece perfectly clean and lots of mills use chemicals that deteriorate all the vegetation the animals where rolling in not to mention their own filth!! just to be on the SAFE SIDE.. .. i wouldn't do it. .

    kool aid is safe but your wool might not.
