ESPN pulls racy ad

Aug 20 - ESPN urged affiliates to yank a racy commercial for a website that matches would-be adulterers looking for an affair.The website's CEO says the network is applying a double standard, allowing ads for tobacco and erectile disfunction products but not for his matchmaking service. But advertising experts say networks have to play a gatekeeping role to protect society's interests. Fred Katayama reports from New York.

The thing that is really fucked up about cheating is the un-repairable pain that it causes. When someone cheats it can't be undone, and no punishment can heal the wound that it creates. There isnt a simple solution to ending adultry, because punishing your spouse doesn't really fix anything, in fact it usually makes everything worse. JUST DONT CHEAT

i'm not even conservative and this annoys me. this isn't "everyone can do what they want." yes, if people want to get married and cheat on some random person at work, i have no right to say anything (although i don't know why you would be married in the first place). but this is practically begging people and making it easy for people to cheat. something about it just makes me nauseated. just get divorced if you are desperate enough to get on a website

I think that this is sad. If you are sick of your spouse and want someone else, leave them. If you want to have multiple partners whether for love or just sex, identify as polygamous or poly-amorous.

I have a couple friends who are in poly-relationships, and very happy. All of their partners know what's going on and trust them. There is none of this "discreet, private, affair, cheating" stuff. It only applies to when you don't want your lover/s to know, and that's a betrayal of trust.
