It is hit & Miss. You can't tell becuase the sound of the video makes it sound throttle governed.

any idea what the compression ratio is? Im wondering if can make diesel this way if compression is high enough.

I don't know what the ratio is, but you can make it as high as you want. Just depends on how much spacer you use between head and block.

What kind of fuel would you have to use?

Just plain old Gasolene.

This is the head that came with this compressor. It has a 1 inch spacer between the head and cylinder. The head was modified to use valves in place of the reed valves.
