Over the course of twenty-seven years, the band has gone through numerous lineup changes and lengthy breaks, yet seven albums on, remains among the most influential thrash metal bands in the history of metal.

Their eighth studio album, The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A was released on October 23, 2007 in the United States and October 26, 2007 in Europe.
