Crew members are not "supposed" to sleep in the crew lounge, but...if your flight got in at 11:30 pm and you had to be at work at 5:00am the next morning, would you walk through the airport, get on a bus/taxi, walk to your crash pad to be kept awake by a snorer, then wake up in the morning, go through security, etc. etc.? They sleep in the crew rooms because they get more sleep that way. Also, crew members are sometimes scheduled for 4-5 hour "sits" in the middle of their day...why not nap?
