I've lived in Oklahoma all of my life, love this state with all my heart, but I thought that was pretty damn funny, though a bit childish. But, who gives a shit. All I've heard since the game has been OSU fans crying about the performance. If they're really that classless, then don't pay attention to them. They've been doing this type of stuff for a long, long time and most of their performances have been a lot more controversial (see BYU). Quit crying and forget about it.

Stanford band is notorious for this crap. It's almost completely student run and has been punished by their own university for crossing the line multiple times over a 30 year span. But now their shows don't go tooooo far cause they have to be approved by the Athletic Department. I don't care about there "uniforms" or their half time/pregame show (especially at this game cause it wasn't that bad), but their behavior after the game was classless.

The whole thing is just stupid. Rice does the same thing. Nobobdy paid attention after awhile. The band is just entertaining itself basically.

I was in one of the High School bands that played in the parade with them. Honestly the Stanford band is really relaxed and fun. They are there to have a good time. And I thought the show was hilarious.

Stanford's band likely judges their version of success by the number of complaints that they generate, but university endorsed poor sportsmanship is no longer in style. Your band is an embarrassment to musicianship and is void of anything resembling class or taste. A university, that continuously allows its brand to be tarnished by such a group, cannot be trusted to make value judgments.

OSU fan here, I was at the game, every Stanford fan I met before and after the game was very nice. Football team played great, OSU was very lucky to get out of there with a win. Band sucked......totally classless, no talent, I'd rather listen to a toilet flush than listen to their band. Bunch of arrogant pseudo-intellectual jerks who enjoy the attention they get by being rude. Reminds me of some Jr. High kids farting in class.......but the farting sounds better.

Well, like I said, they are mainly student-run, so the University cant do too much about it. They either spend all of their hard-earned money to be in the band, or (and this is more likely at this school) they use mommy and daddy's money to be able to travel and be a part of the group. Don't really have a prob with their show, as I'm originally from Texas, haha, but they were very classless after the game.........

Obviously not punished ENOUGH if they're still allowed to play in public. Funding for that kind of behavior needs to be cut. People complain about athletic programs getting so much $ - they should see THAT mess more often and they wouldn't be so thrilled to throw $ to the "arts" either. Kudos to the football team for a game played hard but the band totally makes them look bad.
