cool... I have tried to pose before too... But after 10min or so I began to feel reallyyyyyy uncomfortable. It's amazing that they could actually pose for soo long(even standing) without falling asleep -___-ll

Most people sit for two hours for a portrait, but regular models pose for 1 1/2 hours at a time. When I demo, they sit (or stand) there all day and the next...

That's the way we teach it too. I beleive that's how the greeks did sculpture in clay!

I have a hard time seeing all your details from the dark patina though.
Have you done any in ferric nitrate?
