He is very good for a first time isnt he. I broke my little 12.3hh pony in and she had a bucking fit with me on her. Now look at how good she is lol .x

Wow, he's really nice and you're such a good rider!! Question: when you back a horse, how long should you wait to have your first canter. Obviously it will vary from horse to horse but just as a rough guide? xx

Well this pony we took about 2 weeks to have his first canter, he was very girth shy, so if they are like this you should always give them time. If they are fine with the girst/saddle it can range from 4 days to about a week and a half.
