Grand Slam Motion Plus Help/Tutorial WII

A video to help people play Grand Slam Tennis by EA with Motion Plus.

People are thinking this might be a limitation of Wii Motion Plus but I am not sure, in Tiger Woods 2010 Disc Golf the Wii Motion Plus never goes out of sync. EA said somewhere that they had to scale back the 1:1 because it was too hard because most people aren't really tennis players.

I think if they made it completely 1:1 there would be no centering problem but then the swing mechanics would be much harder. It goes glitchy when they go away from 1:1 to hold your hand so to say.

@brandonwild11 It is loose and this is normal. Make sure u use the lock switch and it works fine. Mine is still perfect after a year.

i get it now...no wonder i was sucking...but the controls can be frustrating...i thought wii motion was suppose to fix such things...

Motion + does fix these things as I have Wii Sports Resort JP already and calibration is non existent.

EA did this, it was there way of making it sort of 1:1 but not requiring you to be a tennis player to play.

this game looks awesome.. i am soooo getting this over VT09 now. one question though, does the power with which i swing matter in the game?

Power of swing does matter. Swing hard enough and you can go for a winner with motion plus which you can't without it.

@chrismcam2 That is wrong, even the tips during loading say to hold it by its side. So if you're right handed the A button will be to the left side.

Thanks for this video!!! I was about to throw my WM+ to the trash (along with the nice rackets I bought :P)... now I'm starting to win matches online an in the Grand Slam mode.

Great game once you get it. The problem I see is that no ones tell you how to grab the control and that you must return to the center immediately after every shot.

the arrow keys make it more powerful, if u press right arrow for righthand and left arrow for lefthand, it should go faster

The big issue is that they don't really tell you that the game re-calibrates every point during the transition between the replay and the next serve so until you figure that out, you'll be having off swings and who knows what else. The other thing is that while the game is theoretically 1:1 the avatar actions aren't like they are in Wii Sports Resort where you get instant visual feedback on your movements, which also probably throws people for a loop too. EA just needs to flesh it out more.

Interesting point! There is a setting in Sports Resort that says something like "Sensor Bar Assist on/off." It is "ON" unless you change it.

The M+ in Sports Resort does what you expect. As does Tiger Woods. There really is a problem with Grand Slam. It is not just that it is "hard." That's insulting when people say that.
