Telecaster B Bender Jam

I had a request from 1337leo to post a song on my Telecaster. In some of my other videos it can be seen hanging on the wall.

In my band days I played most of the rock, blues and top 40 on a Strat or on my old Gibson Firebird. I played mostly country tunes on the Tele.

The B-Bender is a cool feature. It takes a while to learn how to use one. You have to think a little different when using the bender. I am certainly no expert. However, if you want to hear some killer B-Bender playing, check out Will Ray of the Hellcaster's or Albert Lee.

A b bender is a lever that runs from the ball of the b string to the front strap button, usually on a Telecaster. When you pull down on the guitar, the lever/strap button raises the pitch of the b string one whole step.

I just got the Hipshot B bender, G bender, and drop D tail piece for Christmas. I always wanted some kind of a B bender and I didn't want to rout out the body, so I had this one installed and its a lot of fun once I get the hang of it. Its on a Y2K Fender Telecaster Nashville, black with a maple neck. Sounds sweet.
