  • my budgies hates taking a shower, how did you get yours to stay in that water?

  • We put his bath out a few times and placed some of his toys in it, because he is nosey he then wanted to see what we had done with his toys and after a few days of doing this he then touched the water and got to like it, since then he goes in every week.

Try a deep dish with water as spikey likes this also.

  • adorable. my little huey used to love to bathe and shower too. we put out a bowl for him to wade in, and he'd shower under the sink

none of my other parakeets loved to shower like huey did--spikey is special and brave for loving the water

  • aww! (you need to get him a bath he can spread his wings out in, there is one for 8 bucks at nearly every petsmart!)

  • pls teach me how to make em wanna bath man... i need help

  • my budgies wont take a bath they have a lil bird bath in there cage but wont touch it :(

  • FUNNY AND CUTE LITTLE PARAKEET! Aww...! I have some parakeets too.

  • For sure! Do not give it away! Training them, they will be like ur first one :D

  • Good point... I'll work on it. The bird is soo cute... it just needs to like me! :D

  • But they dont know you enough, yet. Give them a time, and they will feel comfortable with you soon. =)

  • Hehe.. thanks! Yeah, I'm back home now and this green and yellow bird is cute, just not the same. I walk within 6 feet of the cage and the thing is freaking out. Not a good start when you're wanting a bird that actually enjoys your company :(

  • Oh! Yeah! You are right. And I'd like to have a parakeet which accompanies us everywhere! But I will at least discover how to make them habituated with us (put them out of their cage, caring, eat in our hand, etc.).

Well, I hope that now, you're feeling well with ur new little ones and getting a proper training to them ^^
