NYGolfer couldn't be more incorrect about Jack applying force from his right arm. Any time force, i.e. leverage is applied from any place outside the pivotal axis, that leverage will cause a "jump" in the plane and slow the release of the wrists through impact. Jack, on the other hand, has completely passive arms. Now, Hogan applied force from his right arm(read his books), but that was a necessary trait with his elbow "down" swing plane.

Jack does utilize gravity .His wide swing arc and high hands at the top literally scream out for that "gravity drop". However, Jack like many power hitters , Immediately after allowing gravity to drop the right elbow into the slot , applies thrust with the right arm ie; he forcefully straightens his bent right arm .This adds cluhead speed and squares the clubface through impact. Gravity combined with thrust (applied at the correct moment) results in max clubhead speed with minimum effort.
This is taken from David Lee's first video, on the evolution of swing mechanics. Here he is demonstrating and explaining the gravity swing type of swing, which is the purest and most effortless of swing types. Players such as Fred Couples and Jack Nicklaus are good examples. He also explains three other major swing types in this video, the shoulder rake, (Palmer), centrifugal flip and a combination swing. (Hogan) I highly recommend viewing the Gravity Swing Introduction video here on You Tube.
