I checked the game on my Dreamcast emulator. There's no logo, but after the SEGA screen, it says "Sonic Team presents".
I don't know why your version doesn't.

Then again what are you expecting from Sega? Sonic turns into Super Sonic = Rip off of Goku from DBZ
Death Egg = Death Star in Star Wars
7 Chaos Emeralds = (maybe) The seven Dragon Balls
Shadow = Rip off of Sonic.....yes its true >_>
Heck overall you could say Sonic = Rip off of Mario since it uses a lot of the same things if you think about it (though its not true)

Sonic Team was there since the beginning. I don't know where you got the idea that they were only in charge since 2000.
If you Start-up the original Sonic the Hedgehog, you can see the Sonic Team's name credited after Sega's.

I even checked Wiki, and according to that the division of Sega that was in charge of the Sonic games(all the way back to the beginning) was always called Sonic Team.

Then explain to me why I checked the ACTUAL
game itself and it didn't show the Sonic Team logo or anything.
