The black pools are designed to mask trades. I think this is terribly unfair. I agree with your method totally. Just pointing out what might be a difference these days, from the Livermore era. Perhaps they had the equivalent of black pools back then? If so, then it's apples to apples (no pun intended) in terms of eras.

Wow, you just filled in a huge gap in my understanding of the market. Since a successful trade is dependent upon completion(liquidity), it is paramount to know if that liquidity can be achieved at the right time.

@Drav1212 I'm very aware of Karl's videos. But I'm telling you I know what I'm talking about, I run a hedge fund, I participate in the high frequency trading and other computer-based trading systems. Please don't patronize me about something you know nothing about and what I'm expert in.

The trading game is against the small investor. It is a rigged market. You CAN NOT apply OLD antiquated trading practices against the modern flash trades and high frequency trades. YOU JUST CAN NOT DO IT. And your opinion that it can, is a lie and untruth.

@Drav1212 Sorry, but you have been fed a bunch of conspiracy theory garbage, the tape is alive and well. I'm also a hedge fund manager that runs one of the algorithmic funds, so I know what I'm talking about.
