Lol, surprise.
Ok, this begins a new series of fanfic mugen videos with storyline telling what would have happened if Street Fighter characters participated in kof.
The Street Fighter III Third Strike saga is just postponed for a while, but it will be done eventually.
The characters in the intro are all confirmed, but you can be certain there are going to be more characters included in this series.
Being a kof tournament, it has the team rule too, although I haven't decided yet if the teams are going to be of 3 or 4 fighters each.
The power tiers are based on nothing but my very own personal opinion based on the facts about the storyline I know from both franchises. It's just that, an opinion that might be wrong or different than yours, but since I'm the only one doing all of this, it's only logical that my opinion is law in this story. Power tiers are not something easily figured out in fighting games anyway since they are known for having a lot of unfilled gaps in their storylines left for the players interpretation. They are fictional characters anyway, and their creators can make them as powerful as they want to; nothing prevents Capcom from saying Dan could destroy the earth with a punch, except for it being a ridiculous idea...

  • SF emphasizes defensive space control while Kof emphasizes offensive rushdown.

Kof emphasizes more variety in specials while SF emphasizes more variety in normals.

SF emphasizes traditional, realistic and simple character designs while Kof emphasizes exotic, exagerated and anime like character designs.

STFU already. It all comes down to a matter of taste at the end.

  • @EvilRyuGuy Street Fighter using realistic character designs my ass. Just try saying that while looking at Blanka, Dhalsim, Necro, Hakan, Rufus, and Twelve. KOF isn't as exaggerated as you say either. Most fighting game designs are similar to each other, such as Street Fighter, KOF, Tekken, and Virtua Fighter. Games like Guilty Gear, Blazblue, and Arcana Heart go for the more over the top anime designs. Skullgirls? That's just pure shit.

  • @Zenotron SF does throw a freak every now and then into the roster, while in Kof it's more rare and usually keeps them as bosses like Magaki or Mukai, (which also another style difference that can be liked or disliked depending on individual preferences).

I was actually refering more to the outfits. The cast in SF generally wears simple clothes, more appropiate for fighting, while Kof has characters wearing pretty much anything.

GG, BB and AH indeed go a bit too far trying to make them cool.

  • @kel758 I get what you mean

  • Honestly i think KOF's game style and system is generally better compared to SF's. I have seen lots of boring SF tournament vids that where won by isolating the other player. That doesn't happen too much on KOF. I just wish they'd do a better job on marketing their game and game graphics while maintaining their core game style.

  • Vega is bison in japan.

  • LORI AND KYO !!!! >o< MY FAV CHAR !!!

  • Street Fighter (capcom) and King of Fighters (SNK) is an oligopoly, i love both

  • @Zenotron Haters Gonna Hate.

  • I could never take Bison's stance serious

  • @chrisjericho541 Another all girl anime-style fighting game that's coming out next year.
