They are called Energy Chains, check on ebay as sometimes you can get a good deal

What's the setup for the x-axis. I think I see two linear ways above each other?
Do you use a ballscrew?

The X axis (axis on the bridge) used linear rails (IKO). The other two axes use bishop wisecarver rails. The Z axis uses a ball screw and the X and Y axis use a belt drive.
