  • @funkyfem1 I have the LP (By the light of the moon). Great album. There seems to be one for sale on Discogs. I tried to paste a link in this message, but it didn't work...Just try to take a look at discogs.com, type in 'Rockin Jimmy' and you'll find it. Succes!

  • @funkyfem1 .

Hi. I am just about to put the LP "By the light of the moon" by Rockin' Jimmy & the bros of the night. Released on Sonnet. 1981. nm cond onto Ebay shortly if interested.. Ron Saunders. UK.

  • i first heard this album in the 80s and have been trying to get it ever since but cant never released in the uk if any 1 knows how i get a copy please let me know ty

  • Ah, rockin Jimme Billfold- Spent many a nite with him, Walt, and the boys down in the hole at Magicians Theatre in T-Town, back in the 70's when Don Duca was "running" the place. Still have some of his early recorded efforts on cassette tape, and this song is on there. Does not sound much different 30 years later.

  • does anyone know were I can download two of their excellent tracks Crazy and With the wind at your back you can fly?

  • I've been trying to find that brilliant album on CD for years!!! can you please let me have the details (label etc) so I can try and trace a copy????? Thanks a lot. Jonny

  • I have know Jim since 1965 when we formed a little known band called "US" with Ricky Gomez on drums, vocals. John Roberson on Bass, and Larry Slack on backup rhythm and vocals. i have several of his albums and will try to upload them soon.

  • Where is he playing in the Tulsa area I didn't know either?? Anyone know?. I use to see him nearly every weekend around the Tulsa area bars

    Rockin Jimmy was my favorite

  • I agree. An excellent album that somehow slipped under the radar. I have a tape only (copied in 1981 from a vinyl album) and have been trying to track down a CD for years. Glad to see they are still playing. Thanks for posting and it would be really good if piesavearrived could quickly learn how to put his copy on Youtube.

  • This is from a great album, titled By the Light of the Moon released in 1980.I have got this album on CD and would post on You Tube but I dont know how to.I didnt realise Jimmy was still playing gigs. Many thanks for posting.
